The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) helps to pay for home heating costs and furnace repairs for income-qualified households. It can also be used for electricity bills. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minnesota Department of Commerce has increased crisis funding and extended applications for energy assistance allowing more Minnesota households to apply for assistance.
