Friends of the Hawthorne Huddle,

On August 5 we will honor the work and contributions of tireless community leaders and dedicated advocates.  Join us to see who they are.

We will feature 2 presenting organizations this month –

NEON – The Northside Economic Opportunity Network (NEON) expands economic development opportunities and builds wealth for low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs in north Minneapolis and surrounding communities.  Terry Austin, Community Engagement Manager will present.

Twin Cities RISE – Twin Cities Rise offers a FREE, unique, and holistic approach to assisting people who face social and economic barriers to employment, including second chance participants. Our ULTIMATE GOAL is to provide our participants with the skills needed to not only achieve but also sustain FULL-TIME employment in today’s new economy. Joan Riley, Community Outreach Manager will present.

Again, we are happy to welcome Mr. Al McFarlane from McFarlane Media to facilitate the conversation.  Later in the day, he will make it available on his Facebook page.
