Rapid Response COVID-19 Food Security RFA
Homegrown Minneapolis is a citywide initiative expanding our community’s ability to grow, process, distribute, eat and compost more healthy, sustainable, locally grown foods.
The City of Minneapolis Health Department invites applications through a rapid response process for COVID-19 Community Food Security Supports. $470,000 in CARES funds is available from the City of Minneapolis through this process.
Eligible groups are organizations that provide emergency food relief, such as food shelves, food banks, food pop-ups, or farmers markets distributing free food. Groups must serve the City of Minneapolis, provide emergency support related to the COVID-19 pandemic and must demonstrate ability to purchase items and provide receipts by November 13, 2020.
Proposals are due by NOON on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 for review in the priority application round. Please send any questions to email@example.com by 4:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2020. Answers will be posted on a rolling basis up until noon October 27.
