AGENDA
Friends of the Hawthorne Huddle,
On April 5, 2018 we will be welcoming members of the Minneapolis Youth Congress (MYC). They will talk about what made them get involved with MYC, as well as address the current issues concerning young people such as safety, in the schools and on the streets. As always, we will leave a good chunk of time for questions and discussion.
The Minneapolis Youth Congress is a representative body of youth (grades 8 – 12) that has authentic power and influence in decisions and policies relevant to youth, and that works in collaboration with elected officials focusing on a common understanding of the welfare of the youth in the City of Minneapolis. Their charge is “No Decision About Us, Without Us.”
The Hawthorne Huddle will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Farview Park, 621 29th Avenue North. A continental breakfast will be available at 7:15 a.m.
